When John McCormick, an Air Force veteran, suffered a heart attack while mowing his lawn, the firefighters and EMTs of Station 4 in Baytown, Texas, rushed to his aid. John was quickly taken to a nearby hospital in the ambulance. After leaving him in the care of the hospital, the fire crew decided to double back to John's house and finish mowing his lawn for him. When they were done, they put everything away in the shed, locked it, and put the key in the mailbox with this note.

McCormick's daughter Jeana Blackford said, "It just showed me that there's still compassion, that people still do random acts of kindness every day for people that they don't know."
Sadly, McCormick passed away two days later. But the impact of these firefighters' actions will last in the memories of the McCormick family.
