My Story: I Was Arrested For A Crime I Didn't Commit

In December 2012, I was arrested for murder.

I was arrested for a crime with which I had absolutely nothing to do. I spent 6 1/2 months in the detention center. They finally figured out the man had a heart attack, and I was released.

I have spent the last year and a half very angry, very bitter. I’ve been working with my pastor, trying to forgive. I went down to get all the evidence that they seized from my house. Before I left, I prayed to God that I would find forgiveness in my heart.

So I’m driving down the road and the song “Forgiveness" by Matthew West comes on.

It’ll clear the bitterness away
It can even set a prisoner free
There is no end to what its power can do
So, let it go and be amazed
By what you see through eyes of grace
The prisoner that it really frees is you
Forgiveness

God answered my prayer. I just want to tell you that it was an amazing moment, and I wanted you to thank you. You are part of a very special miracle and moment in my life.
