He was a Maryland business man who brought smiles to thousands of sick children for more than ten years by showing up to visit, dressed as Batman. Lenny Robinson passed away Sunday night and will be remembered as a special man who loved to make kids smile. Lenny's mission as Batman took him to hospitals and charity events with his best "Dark Knight" impersonation, even giving out autographs and thousands of dollars in gifts to kids who were battling serious illnesses and kids who were being bullied.
Lenny became more than a local phenom in 2012 when a routine traffic stop by a police officer was captured on dashboard camera. The officers were delighted by the encounter and the video quickly went viral.
Pray for Lenny's family and friends, and enjoy the video that made him famous. He will always be our "Route 29 Batman."
