DELTA COMMUNITY CHOIR PRESENTS- “SEASONS OF LOVE” LIVE CONCERT- benefitting “Canines for Change” Ellen McKenzie, Artistic Director and Christine English, Accompanist
Come for a Sunday afternoon of great live music and fun for the whole family. In its 9th season, the Delta Community Choir welcomes special guests- Canines for Change Executive Director, Dr. Nikki Brown, and special canine heroes. The concert theme is based on “Seasons of Love” from the Broadway musical and movie “Rent”- with song selections reflecting the many demonstrations of love shown during the pandemic. The choir streamed two virtual concerts for State of Michigan nursing/veterans’ homes and assisted care facilities over the past year. The upcoming performance, “Seasons of Love”, will be the choir’s first live appearance since 2019. December concert guests will also hear “Music In My Mother’s House”, “Take Me Home”, “Omnia Sol”, “My Love Is Always Here”, and the Choir’s traditional “Night of Silence/Silent Night’ closing number.
Reservations are not required. All freewill donations (100%) will support Canines for Change, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, which trains assistance/service and facility dogs for people with a variety of special needs.
Masks are required regardless of vaccination status. They will be provided at the door for those who forget.
