Christina (from Night SHINE with Christina James) and I are huge The Voice fans. Usually, on Tuesday evenings we'll get together for a few minutes when my show ends and her show begins and review the previous night's edition of The Voice. From the very beginning, Jordan Smith has been one of our favorites. We love that he's open about sharing his faith too. As he was discussing his song choice with show mentor and coach Adam Levine, Jordan said, "“This performance, it’s a chance to show who I really am.”
It was obvious after his performance how much what he sang was heard and appreciated. After all four coaches gave him a standing ovation, Coach Blake Shelton said, “Jordan, you know with coming off the weekend and the horrible things that happened over in Paris and just having a heavy heart the last few days, thank you for that. That was beautiful.”
Coach Adam Levine followed by saying, “Sometimes there’s so much about the world that can be so confusing and so sad, and then you come along and make us feel like there’s a lot of hope. There’s just two and a half minutes we’re listening to this guy singing and you just feel this joy and rejuvination that you don’t think you’re going to feel again. I thank you, Jordan.”
