Angel Babies Gown Making Event

When Jack and I saw this event posted on the SHINE-FM Facebook page, we just had to share. If I was in town this weekend, I'd so join in this angel babies gown making event. This is an amazing way to show love to a mom and dad who are going through one of the worst days of their lives...the loss of a baby. Angel Babies is an organization that provides memorial gowns to families, and there's an opportunity to join in and help make these special gowns this weekend.

Saturday, August 17, 10am - 3pm
Halethorpe Relay United Methodist Church
4513 Ridge Avenue
Baltimore, MD 21227

Here's what's needed:

  • Volunteers to trace and cut patterns to create burial gowns for babies
  • Volunteers to sew the cut patterns (please bring your sewing machine)
  • Donations of wedding and formal gowns to use as material (make sure to remove from preservation boxes)
  • Crocheters and knitters to make small hats and blankets (bring your hooks/needles; yarn is provided)

Here's the link to the Facebook event page

You're welcome to share this picture, too.
