Celebrating a different kind of hero

Since that awful day 14 years ago, so many stories of heroes have been told. Firefighters and police running into burning buildings to save people, strangers helping one another navigate their way out of smoke and soot. May we never forget their sacrifice.

But there are more stories still to be told and other kinds of heroes still to recognize. Meet the sweetest Golden Retriever ever. She's 16 years old, her name is Bretagne (pronounced 'Brittany') and she's the last known living search and rescue dog that worked at Ground Zero. She and her handler Denise Corliss were deployed after the attack to find people trapped in the rubble of the World Trade Center. Some friends in NYC wanted to give her a birthday party she'd never forget!
