Hear, Listen, Follow.

Do you ever feel discouraged because something isn’t working out the way you hoped and prayed, and you ask the question... Lord what am I doing wrong?

I found myself asking that question this morning. It’s a heavy load to bear when you think it’s somehow up to you. The weight of responsibility can make the even the strongest shoulders sag. Here’s what the Lord showed me this morning. I’m asking the wrong question.

It’s not up to me to make something happen. I don’t need to plead, manipulate, even persuade. Here’s what IS up to me: To show up aligned and connected to the Holy Spirit. To be faithful to Jesus, to do what He says. To lift Him up, pray in all circumstances, surrender my way and my will and trust He will accomplish His purposes. He will provide. He will be exalted. He will be faithful. It really does take the pressure off when you realize God is moving and speaking and all you need to do is hear, listen and follow.
We’re not at our goal yet but God knows. Can you help? Just do what He says and that will be more than enough.

“When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, 'They have no more wine.' 'Woman, why do you involve me?' Jesus replied. 'My hour has not yet come.' His mother said to the servants, 'Do whatever he tells you.'”
‭‭- John‬ ‭2:3-5‬
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
‭‭- John‬ ‭15:5‬ ‬
