Intentional Acts of Kindness

Blessings can come in all shapes and sizes. In my opinion, one of the best forms of blessings are random acts of kindness. A moment where I turn away from my own personal focuses in life and make a choice to positively impact someone else’s life. Being a young adult myself, receiving a random act of kindness can really brighten up my day. For example, when the person in front of me in the Starbucks drive through pays for my double chocolatey chip Frappuccino. Whoever you are, you’re a God send!

What I’ve found interesting about random acts of kindness is that when I take the rare opportunity to act, it’s always at random. Well, yeah Morgan, it’s in the name, it’s supposed to be random. I get it. I agree, the beauty of random acts of kindness are that they are random.

I can’t help but wonder, though, what if I were more intentional with my random acts of kindness? I don’t mean that, when I wake up in the morning, I’ll have a list of every single nice thing that I have planned for people. But what if I try to keep my eyes open to the opportunities around me to be kind. What if we were more intentional about our random acts of kindness?

If you would like to participate in random acts of kindness, text IMPACT to 88474. Every Monday in March, we’ll send you a way to positively impact someone else's life. The world needs more kindness. Let’s spread it.
