Ohio Church Shows That Giving Is Contagious

You never know who will be touched by your kindness.

Rob Westerman, pastor at a church in Ohio, has started doing something different at his church. He told NCN News, "We have this dollar bucket; people put $1, $2, $10, whatever they want in it and we go out and do things with it. This is the first one we've recorded, though, because we wanted to show the congregation what it looks like."

Off they went to the local grocery story and paid for the groceries of 15 people using $400 donated by the congregation. Among those who had their groceries paid for: a woman who forgot her wallet, a man who had been robbed the week before, and a woman who had spent the morning crying.

The church's hope is to show that doing good is contagious.
