After a week of honor and tributes, Billy Graham will be laid to rest on Friday. His funeral is scheduled at noon, and will be held at the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina. Only invited guests will be allowed to attend. The Graham family sent out more than two-thousand invitations. The Billy Graham website will live stream the service with coverage beginning at 10am on Friday. You can also sign up on Facebook to attend the live stream.
The funeral message will be delivered by his son Franklin Graham. Billy Graham and Ruth Graham’s other four children are also expected to speak briefly. The Graham’s family legacy now includes 19 grandchildren and a growing number of great-grandchildren.
Friday’s funeral will be held under a massive tent; part of that is logistical as they need a space large enough to accommodate all the invited guests. But, there’s also a part that is a nod to the history of Dr. Graham’s 1949 Los Angeles Crusade. That eight-week crusade launched Billy Graham’s ministry to national prominence and was held outdoors under a massive tent.
Dr. Graham will be buried next to his wife on the grounds of the Billy Graham Library.
