What Courage Looks Like

Jessica Rehn is one of those people

She was a lover of Jesus, a devoted mom, wife and sister. To tell you about her, I struggle with the right words that express my admiration. I struggle with going back and forth between "is" and "was." Jess left this world and went into the arms of Jesus on July 26th, but she still "is" a beacon of hope and light to me. She "is" one of the most inspiring people I've ever met. She "is" an example of true courage, faith, and selflessness and lived a glorious life that honored the Lord.

On July 24, 2012, Jess, her amazing twin sister Jo, and Jess's husband Jonathan, visited us in the studio during the morning show. It was perhaps one of my most special moments in my 12 years in radio. Mark Schultz was also in the studio and played a song for Jess that had become like a theme song for her fight with cancer, "All Things Possible." Listen and fall in love with Jesus as He shines through her.

Jess talks about having "blessed cancer," and Mark Schultz sings, "All Things Possible."

Jess shares how she and her twin were waiting to play "twin tricks" in chemo - it cracked us up.

Jessica made us laugh when she shared her daughter's reaction to losing her hair.

We will miss you Jess but we will never forget you.

Co-host of Tracey and Dave on SHINE-FM.
