Molly’s Minute: Fall Without Fear
Have you ever done a trust fall before? You know, where you fall backwards into the arms of someone behind you?
I have. And I can tell you that the trust fall really does show you who you trust.
Because, when you don’t really trust the person who’s supposed to be catching you, you get scared. And you don’t let yourself fall. You don’t fully believe that they’ll catch you, so you bail out and try to catch yourself.
But when you’re falling into the arms of someone you trust, you fall without fear. Because you know they wouldn’t let you hit the floor.
The thought of falling is scary. But when we trust the person who promises to catch us, that fear evaporates.
In Psalm 37, we read that “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”
God promises to be there to catch us when we stumble.
So, let’s put our trust in Him today so that when we fall, we can fall without fear.
Psalm 37:23-24 “The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.”
