Molly’s Minute: God Listens To You
Who is someone in your life that makes you feel heard?
Someone who—when you’re talking to them—you know they’re really listening?
For me, it’s my mom. When I’m talking to her, I know that she is completely hearing what I’m saying. She’s not thinking about anything else or doing something else while I’m talking. When I’m talking to her, she listens to me.
And God listens to us like that, too.
Psalm 116 says, “I love the Lord because he hears my prayers… Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!”
When we call to God in prayer, He hears us.
The creator of the universe, the one who is in control of everything—who has a million other things to do and people He’s thinking about—listens intently to every word we say to Him.
So, if you need someone to talk to today, talk to God. Because He loves to listen to you.
Psalm 116:1-2 “I love the Lord because he hears my prayers and answers them. Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I breathe!”
