Molly’s Minute: No Mistake Is Beyond God’s Grace
A few years ago, I went to one of those group painting classes with some family. And I kid you not, five minutes into this painting, I made a mistake.
I used the wrong color in the wrong spot. And I was convinced that I had ruined my painting.
But when the leader of the class came over and took a look, she said, “You didn’t ruin it. I can fix this.”
And with a few strokes of her brush, she did just that. She fixed my mistake and saved my painting.
The mistake that I thought had been catastrophic wasn’t beyond help in her hands.
And in God’s hands, there is no mistake too big for forgiveness.
1 John 1:9 says that “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
There is no mistake we could make that is beyond God’s grace if we confess.
So, let’s bring our mistakes—no matter how big they are—before Him today, so He can cover them with His amazing grace.
