Molly’s Minute: Refinement

February 8, 2021

Not all gold is pure, 24 karat gold. A lot of gold has other metals and impurities mixed in with it.

So, to get pure gold, the mixture has to go through the refining process

A refiner will heat the metal to a really high temperature—about 2,000 degrees. The heat makes all the different metals melt and separate. And pure gold is left behind.

The gold has to go through that extreme heat to come out better than it was before.

And sometimes, we have to do the same.

James 1:2, “Consider it pure joywhenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”

Sometimes we will have to endure difficult circumstances in life. But God uses those circumstances to bring us closer to Him and make us better.

So today, let’s find joy in our trials, knowing that God is using them to help us grow.
