Molly’s Minute: Waiting On God Like We Wait For A Package
When I order something online, I am constantly excited and looking forward to getting it until it comes.
Maybe you’re like that, too. You check your mailbox every day and, yeah, you’re a little disappointed on the days when it’s not there. But it’ll get there soon. You know that just because it’s not there yet doesn’t mean it’s not gonna come.
Why don’t we wait for God the same way we wait for a package?
Why, when we’re waiting on God, do we start to lose hope that what we’re waiting for is coming? Why do we start to think He’s telling us no?
If you’re waiting on God for something, I want to tell you that God’s delay is not necessarily God’s denial.
Just because He’s having you wait doesn’t mean He’s telling you “No.”
If you’re waiting on something that God has promised you, that you feel He’s been preparing you for, wait for that thing the same way you wait for that Amazon package: with hope.
Remember that just because it’s not there yet doesn’t mean it’s not coming.
Because God’s delay is not God’s denial.
Psalms 31:24 “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!”
