Molly’s Minute: When People Meet You, Do They Meet Jesus?
When I was a kid and my class would go on a field trip, my teacher would always say the same thing.
She would say, “Now, class. You have to be on your best behavior today. Because you are representing our entire school while we’re on this field trip.”
That always did make me behave better. Because I knew that the people I met that day would decide what they thought about my whole school because of me and how I acted. And that was a lot of responsibility.
How would you react if I told you that your behavior reflects on someone else?
Because it does. As Christians, we are representatives of Christ in this world.
That means that when people meet us, they should meet Jesus.
That’s a lot more responsibility than representing our elementary school.
But the good news is that because God loves us and lives in us, He can and will help us to become better representatives for Him in the world.
So ask Him to help you represent Him well today.
