No matter where you are in Maryland, there’s a 4th of July celebration waiting for you around the corner! We’ve compiled a few of the fun community events happening throughout our state below:

Ocean City Fireworks & Music: Two locations in Ocean City will be celebrating the 4th with music and a fireworks show. Downtown on the Beach (On the Beach at N. Division Street) and Uptown at Northside Park will both start their fireworks shows at 9:30 PM. For more information, check out Ocean City’s website here.

Annapolis Celebrations July 2nd – July 4th: Historic tours, fireworks, salsa dancing, live music and so much more will be available in downtown Annapolis starting Friday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 4th. A parade and fireworks show will also take place in History Annapolis. Interested? View the event map and website for details.

Downtown Columbia Lakefront: At 9:20 PM on July 4th, the Howard County Department of Recreation & Parks will be holding a 22-minute fireworks show at Lake Kittamaqundi. If you want to show up early, you can snag a spot with the perfect view starting at 3 PM. Further details, including rules and regulations, are available here.

Arbutus 3rd of July Parade: Kick of the celebrations early on July 3rd by attending a parade in Arbutus. The parade itself will begin at 12:30 PM, but there are numerous activities throughout the day to keep you and your crew busy. The day’s events include: a Firecracker 10k race, a community gathering, soap box derby races, and more. For a full list of events, check out the parade’s official Facebook page.

July 4th Celebrations At Charles County Fairground: Food vendors, live talent, pony rides, and fireworks will all be happening in La Plata at the Charles County Fairground courtesy of The Charles County Fair Board. Festivities begin July 4th at 3 PM, and admission is free! Check out more event details here.

Little Market Cafe’s BBQ Bash in Ellicott City: Looking for the perfect place to stop and fuel up before your firework show? Ellicott City favorite, Little Market Cafe, will be holding an all-you-can-eat cookout with live music on July 4th from 12 PM to 4 PM. This is a ticketed event; secure your seat on Visit Ellicott City’s website.
