Owl Rescued From The Rockefeller Christmas Tree After Traveling 170 Miles
A tiny owl took an unexpected road trip this week when it traveled 170 miles from Oneonta, New York to NYC.
The adorable little guy was trapped in the Rockefeller Christmas tree when it was chopped down and driven across the state.
The wildlife center wrote that they received a phone call from someone who asked if they take in owls for rehabilitation. They replied with a “yes” before they even heard that the owl was found by the driver who was transporting the Rockefeller Christmas tree.
The adult male Saw-whet owl hadn’t eaten or drank anything in three days. However, he’s now recovering nicely and was even given the name “Rockefeller” in honor of where he was found.
